The Key Ingredient to Starting a Food Blog

May 25, 2016 by Joanna Leave a Comment

The Key Ingredient to Starting My Food Blog - this essential tool, called Food Blogger Pro, not only helped me start my blog, but continue to grow and develop it today! | fedandfulfilled.comYou’re probably seeing this and wondering why I’m squeezing in an extra post this week!  Well, believe me, I wouldn’t be going to all this trouble if it wasn’t important!  This is something that I’m very excited about, because it has helped shape Fed and Fulfilled into something that I’m proud of.

Today, I wanted to let you in on my little secret – the key ingredient that I’ve used to start and grow my food blog.  One that has been absolutely essential and life-changing.  And it’s called Food Blogger Pro.

WHAT IS FOOD BLOGGER PRO?

I’m glad you asked!  Food Blogger Pro is a website that was started by the amazingly talented food bloggers from Pinch of Yum – Bjork and Lindsay Ostrom.  This power couple wanted to share their successes and failures with the public and help up-and-coming bloggers learn the best ways to start and grow their blogs and turn them into businesses.  Food Blogger Pro utilizes over 300 instructional videos, helpful blogging tools, a community forum, and a technical support staff to guide you through how to start a blog from scratch, with no experience necessary.

Some of the Food Blogger Pro highlights include:

  • How to set up a blog using WordPress
  • How to create content
  • How to use a DSLR camera
  • Food styling and photo editing techniques
  • How to set up social media for your blog
  • Monetizing your blog and growing traffic
  • How to create and sell e-books
  • How to build a subscriber base
  • AND MORE! 🙂

HOW DID FOOD BLOGGER PRO HELP ME START FED AND FULFILLED?The Key Ingredient to Starting My Food Blog - without Food Blogger Pro, my food blog wouldn't be where it is today! So thankful for this service! | fedandfulfilled.comThe idea of starting a food blog had been planted in my head for several years, since I’ve always had an obsession with following other people’s food blogs.  I absolutely love to cook and bake, and I’d often hear people tell me that I should start a food blog of my own.  However, the thought of starting a blog terrified me!  While I loved the IDEA of it, the reality of it just seemed completely overwhelming.  Doubts swirled in my head about not knowing how to use WordPress, not knowing enough about photography, not having good enough recipes to share, and generally, just not being good enough!

And then, everything changed when I stumbled upon Food Blogger Pro through Pinch of Yum’s website.  Initially, the cost scared me.  Do I really want to spend money on something when I don’t have a guarantee that I’ll make a penny on my own blog that isn’t even created yet?  Valid question.  However, I was able to read several testimonials from professional bloggers (some of which I had followed and had no idea they used Food Blogger Pro themselves).  The common theme was the Food Blogger Pro was the key to how they grew their blogs into successful businesses MUCH faster than if they had just tried to do it on their own.

So, after reading about it, praying about it, and being encouraged by my husband, I decided to enroll in Food Blogger Pro.  The awesome thing is, you can subscribe to just one month and if you’re not happy with it, you can cancel your subscription and it only sets you back $29.  That’s pretty much what I assumed would happen when I subscribed, but oh, was I ever wrong!
I'm a member of Food Blogger Pro. Learn how to start and grow your food blog.

As soon as I started watching the videos and reading forum posts by other FBP members, I started gaining confidence and felt like I could actually be a blogger!  The videos are SO easy to follow and you can go through them step-by-step to set up all the technical aspects of your blog.  Which is exactly what I did.

I started making quick progress as I worked my way through the Food Blogger Pro courses.  Being a member also allows you to receive exclusive Q&A podcasts and helpful tips via email, too.  Oh, and did I mention that it’s an amazing resource to connect with other bloggers, too?  We’re all in this together!

IS IT WORTH THE INVESTMENT?

Food Blogger Pro has me totally hooked and never have I felt more sure about an investment in my life!  I can honestly say that without Food Blogger Pro, Fed and Fulfilled would definitely not be where it is today…and it probably wouldn’t exist at all.

Sometimes you have to put a little money in now in order to get a bigger return later.  That’s how I view Food Blogger Pro.  You’re adding so much value to your blog through a minimal cost.  I can’t tell you how many mistakes I would have made if I hadn’t used FBP!  And mistakes can cost you time and money.  So really, I think I’m honestly saving myself money through this investment, since it shows you how to set up your blog the right way.

At the very least, it’s worth trying for one month to see how you like it!  You can learn more by clicking on the image below.
